and communities of Central Victoria and beyond. So when it came to choosing a community partner, the answer wasn’t difficult. It had to be an organisation doing work that mattered, visibly, directly and in the same communities where AIH operates every day.

RFDS Victoria delivers emergency aeromedical transport, primary healthcare, mental health services, dental care and community patient transport to more than 80 regional and rural communities across Victoria, including Bendigo, Mildura and dozens of towns where AIH’s teams are on the road and on site every week.
For many of those communities, the RFDS isn’t a backup. It is the system.
When the nearest hospital is hours away, when a medical emergency strikes on a remote project site, when a farming family needs mental health support in a region without a GP — the Flying Doctor is there. The organisation has been delivering that service for nearly 100 years, supported by people and businesses who believe that access to healthcare should not depend on a postcode.
