AIH Welcomes JJM Diesel to the Group

Integrated Equipment Support Just Got Real in Central Victoria

When a machine goes down on site, the last thing you need is to be bouncing between suppliers, waiting on hold with a workshop that doesn’t know your fleet, or chasing two separate invoices at the end of the month. Equipment downtime costs money. Supplier confusion costs time. And in this industry, both are in short supply.

That’s the problem AIH (Atlas Industrial Holdings) was built to solve  and with JJM Diesel now officially part of the group, we’ve taken the most significant step yet toward delivering truly integrated equipment support across Central Victoria and beyond.

This isn’t a rebrand. It’s not a name change. It’s a genuine expansion of what AIH can do for operators  and if you’re a Yellow Hire customer, what’s now available to you through a single account has just grown considerably.

who is jjm diesel?

JJM Diesel Maintenance has operated from 28 Powell Street, Bendigo for over 15 years. What started as a specialist heavy diesel repair shop has grown into the most capable independent heavy diesel workshop in Central Victoria — a 1,000m² facility with four service bays, a dedicated rebuild bay and a 100-tonne press.

This isn’t a general mechanic who does a bit of everything. JJM is a specialist operation focused entirely on heavy diesel — trucks, excavators, wheel loaders, graders and heavy plant. The technicians work on this class of equipment every single day. That depth of focus is exactly why operators across the region have trusted JJM for over a decade and a half.

That foundation is strong. But strong foundations are what you build on and that’s exactly what AIH is here to do.

Joining AIH means JJM Diesel now has the backing of a group actively investing in the facilities, tooling, systems and people needed to take that capability further. The reputation is real. What AIH brings is the infrastructure to make it even better, more resources behind every job, a broader network for operators to tap into, and a long-term commitment to growing what’s already the best independent heavy diesel workshop in the region.

The work is already underway.

Bigger Workshop. Better Equipped. More Capacity.

Joining AIH isn’t just a logo swap. Real investment is flowing into the JJM Diesel operation immediately:

Facility and workshop upgrades already underway. Our Bendigo workshop is being upgraded to handle greater volume, more complex jobs, and faster turnarounds. This isn’t planned for the future, work is already in progress.

New equipment and tooling coming in. The right tools for the job. Not just for what JJM Diesel does today, but for the scope of what the group is building toward.

Improved scheduling and workflow systems. One of the most common pain points for operators dealing with any workshop is scheduling, jobs getting pushed, communication going quiet, follow-up falling through the cracks. AIH is implementing systems to improve how jobs are booked, tracked and communicated from start to finish.

The same trusted team, now with more resources. The technicians and staff you’ve dealt with at JJM Diesel are still there. They now have the backing of a group behind every job, more support, more resources, and a roadmap for continued growth.

what this means for yellow hire customers

This is where things get genuinely useful for operators who already have a relationship with Yellow Hire.

Until now, if you hired a machine through Yellow Hire and needed maintenance or field service work done, that was a separate conversation with a separate supplier, a separate booking process, a separate invoice and a separate relationship to manage. You were doing the coordination yourself.

That changes now.

With JJM Diesel in the AIH group, Yellow Hire customers can access workshop and field service maintenance through the same AIH account. One relationship. One point of contact. One invoice at the end of the month.

It doesn’t matter whether you need a machine on hire while yours is in the workshop, or whether you need a field service callout while a hire machine is already on site,  it all runs through AIH. You’re not juggling two suppliers who don’t talk to each other. You’re dealing with one group that already does.

Here’s a practical example: your machine goes into the JJM Diesel workshop for scheduled servicing. Rather than sitting on your hands waiting for it to come out, Yellow Hire has dry hire available through the same account. One call. The hire is arranged, the service is tracked and when the job is done, it all comes back on one invoice. No admin headaches. No chasing up multiple contacts. No downtime that costs more than it should.

For fleet operators managing multiple machines, this is the difference between supplier chaos and a single, accountable relationship.

one account. One group. everything your operation needs.

The vision behind AIH has always been straightforward: bring together everything an operator needs under one roof, one account and one relationship.

Right now, that means three services working together:

JJM Diesel Maintenance –  Workshop and field service — scheduled maintenance, breakdowns, diesel repairs and everything in between. Backed by the Powell Street facility and a team that knows heavy equipment.

Yellow Hire –  Plant and equipment hire — dry hire across a broad range of machines for construction, civil, agriculture and industrial operations throughout Central Victoria and surrounding regions.

OTR Tyre Management –  Mobile tyre management for off-the-road equipment. Because tyre failures and tyre maintenance on heavy plant shouldn’t require a separate supplier relationship either.

When these three services operate under one account, the maths is simple: less admin, less downtime, less cost from miscommunication — and more uptime for your operation.

No juggling suppliers. No separate accounts. No extra admin. No invoice from one company for the hire and another for the service. Just one group, one account and one relationship that covers your operation end to end.

Why This Matters for Central Victoria

Operators in Central Victoria have historically had to piece together their equipment support from multiple providers, often smaller, independent businesses that do one thing well but can’t offer the full picture. When something goes wrong or multiple things need attention at once, the coordination falls on you.

The level of integrated equipment support that AIH is now delivering; hire, maintenance and tyre management under one roof, with investment flowing into each part of the operation, hasn’t been available in this region before.

That’s not a marketing claim. It’s the reality of what a group structure makes possible when it’s built with the right intent. AIH exists to take the operational pressure off your plate, not to add to it.

Central Victoria-based operators now have access to a single group that can handle their equipment needs across multiple service areas, with the infrastructure to back it up.

we're just getting started

The JJM Diesel acquisition is a significant milestone for AIH, but it’s also just the foundation. OTR Tyre Management coming online through the group is the next step. Further investment into the hire fleet, the workshop capability and the systems that run it all is ongoing.

The engine is bigger. We’re putting it to work.
